The ROCCAT April Open Bonanza with EnemyDown and Meroncourt

The newly rejuvenated Enemydown has announced a new competition entitled The ROCCAT April Open Bonanza. The idea behind it is to reward teams for activity in the CS:S open ladder.
In order to do this Enemydown has teamed up with ROCCAT and Meroncourt and will provide an opportunity for teams to win one of the three sets of prizes.
All you have to do is play matches on the open ladders during the month of April to be in with a chance to win. Only teams who are in the open ladder as of the 31st of march 2010 qualify for this event.
Our first prize will go to the team who tops the ladder at precisely 23:59 on April 30th 2010 and 5 lucky clan members will win a ROCCAT Arvo keyboard each! each.
For those who aren’t perhaps ready to top the ladder, you still have a great chance to win with 5 ROCCAT Kova mice up for grabs to the team who plays the most games in a open ladder (not overall activity) during April and best of all, it doesn’t matter what game you play as long as you are playing in an open ladder, it is open to all!
Finally, for those who are neither the most active or most successful, we have given you a chance to win too. All you have to do is have your team inside the top 20 on the Open CSS ladder at 23:59 on April 30th 2010 to be in with a chance to win a the excellent ROCCAT Apuri (5 per team). The winner will be drawn at random from the top 20 finishers.

PC Gamer award Arvo 88%
This compact keyboard is designed for carrying between LAN events, but we’d happily use full time too. The keys are robust and responsive, but the action is incredibly light, so it’s comfortable for typing too. There’s only one catch, besides the cost: despite the three macro buttons by the spacebar, you lose either the number pad or cursor keys for binding. It’s a small price to pay unless you’re an MMO addict.

www.geeksmack.net have recently tested both the ROCCAT Apuri Active USB Hub with Mouse Bungee & Arvo Compact Gaming Keyboard
of the ROCCAT Apuri Active USB Hub with Mouse Bunge, Alex Warren states
Lan-Party or Home Gaming, the Apuri is a brilliant little hub that helps desktop organization more than ever before. SDMS wouldn’t be the same without this product, as the Apuri plays a very important role in keeping everything tidy to allow more space in the workstation. Just as the box says, this is the perfect little desktop assistant.

and The Roccat Arvo again by Alex Warren :
The Arvo is another brilliant Achievement from Roccat, and they should be terribly proud with what they’ve done. They’ve given the thumb a chance in gaming and Roccat have not underestimated its power. The compact design is a great space saver, and with every keystroke as precise as the last, this is the only Compact gaming keyboard that ever needs to be made. I feel sorry the company that has to make a rival for this product.

Golden Arvo
Second UK on line review in for ROCCAT ARVO and Vortez were equally impressed !
David Mitchelson (Mishima) says:
What I like most about the Arvo are those novel thumbster buttons, I’m surprised there isn’t anything on the market to come up with this idea. I’ve tried and tested the Arvo and this particular feature is a favourite, and is so useful.
The ROCCAT Arvo is on the shelf at £55, which is placed quite reasonably amongst the rivals. This product is ideal for someone who wants to free up that space on the desk but be able to get the most out of their games. It comes as no surprise that the ROCCAT Arvo receives the highest award – Gold.

XSReviews award ROCCAT Arvo Compact Gaming Keyboard 9/10
JoeB at XSReviews was impressed with the Roccat Arvo Compact Gaming Keyboard !
The Arvo is 100% the best compact keyboard I’ve encountered to date. The combined arrow keys and numpad is the best solution to reducing keyboard length with the mode button switching between the two key sets. This means that other keys haven’t been compromised in size and so the typing experience is just as good if not better than the vast majority of larger keyboards.
The macro keys work like clockwork: easy to record and use for gaming, multimedia and numerous other functions. Indeed the only downside is the limitation of just five of these keys.
With the Arvo just over half the price of the Valo, it’s a much more enticing price and quality hasn’t been sacrificed in achieving it. The keyboard is comfortable and very stylish – two aspects that are very important when it comes to choosing a keyboard.
The inclusion of a larger wrist rest and perhaps a few more macro keys would make this an even better purchase but as it stands, it’s very close to perfection.

Worldwide innovation: The only keyboard with additional keys for your thumb
ROCCAT™, the Hamburg-based manufacturer of professional gaming accessories, launches the ROCCAT™ Arvo Compact Gaming Keyboard – the fourth and final product from its Smart Desktop Management System (SDMS), with that completing the product series. The keyboard’s compact design goes a long way in giving gamers a perfectly organized desktop with loads of space. The ROCCAT™ Arvo, with its built-in metal plate, is the world’s first keyboard to feature a gaming mode function integrated into the numpad. The three thumbster keys with macro and practical timer functions are just as unique. These allow essential in-game functions such as ‘attack spells’ or ‘weapon reload’ to be executed comfortably at the press of the thumb. And if that isn’t enough: the multi award-winning macro and profile manager that comes with the ROCCAT™ Kone Max Customization Gaming Mouse and ROCCAT™ Valo Max Customization Gaming Keyboard is also included with the ROCCAT™ Arvo Compact Gaming Keyboard.
